A day for rest...

Random picture of our hibiscus flowers.

Sunday. Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday. Friday... and finally Sabbath.
Thankyou, Lord, for giving a day that we can set aside, all of our worldly things and focus on Thee.

In our family, this conversation has taken place many times on Friday.

"Mommy?"
"Yes..."
"What time is it?"
"Almost sunset!"
"Oh, good!"

It the middle of a cow pasture, sits a red house with white pillars. A family of four, lives in this house. On Friday if you would go to that house you would probably hear them singing a song called, "Holy day Jehovah's Rest."

Holy day, Jehovah's rest, of Creations week the best;
Last of all the chosen seven, Blessed of God, to man 'twas given

Refrain

 Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome
Glad we hail it's presence blest, Tis the great Jehovah's rest

First His six days' work was done, then the Sabbath was begun;
thus He blessed the seventh day, thus in resting we obey.

Thousands have his plan reversed, resting now upon the first;
Search the book and you will know, there's no scripture tells them so.

All who speaks the truth must say, it was man who changed the day;
In God's word no change appears, through the whole six thousand years.

  Thus I searched; and when I saw, only one great Sabbath law;
then I hastened to obey-- plainly twas the only way.

Resting, on the Sabbath doesn't mean sleeping, necessarily!
Like not going shopping, not going to parties, etc...

We have six days to do all our work, so we have six days to prepare for Sabbath, the seventh day.

God gave us the Ten Commandments to us, to follow.

Yes, it was for the Israelite's, but it is also for us.

God never has or will change His word...

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise,
And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Heb 4:4
