Sharing

Most of us have been taught by our parents and other adults when we were little children, that we should share our toys and things with our siblings and friends; but sharing isn't just for little children.

Recently we were asked to host a foreign exchange student in our home; we were not sure as to where we could have her stay in our three bedroom house. I found myself telling my mother that our foreign exchange student could have my room while she is with us and that I could stay in our living room. After neglecting my blog for several months, I've made the final decision that neglecting my blog isn't a worthy cause. And so even though I may not be the best writer or the best at keeping up with this blog I shall continue.
                                                                                           - - -
At first I couldn't believe what I had just offered to do. My room has been a place of security, a place I've spent time on my knees talking with my Jesus, a place to retreat when I needed time alone.

But then, I was reminded of how Jesus shared His all with me. There are many examples where Jesus had shared, but I will name only three.
First, God created this earth unselfishly, for us; He shares this entire world with us.
Secondly, God sent His only Son to this earth to pardon our sins. He wept over our sins and shared His own blood so we might obtain mercy
Third, unselfishly He wants to share Heaven with us. He wants us to be with Him forever.

That is sharing; that is true love.

We can do our part by sharing our time daily with Jesus, by sharing with others what He has done in our lives, by reaching out to someone who needs Jesus, and even sharing our things and space with others.

That is sharing; that is love.
