A man on the side of the street, was staggering along. He was drunk. Drunk and trying to stagger home. He was cut of his forehead. This poor mans face looked miserable. Chills ran down my back in disgust as I watched this poor man and thought about how Satan confuses so many people.
Why? Why do people loose their minds and go and get drunk?
The world is full of the drunkenness of sin... But then there is also the other side. The light! God's people are here on earth. There are so few...
A taste for the wrong drink...
This drink contains a fermented liquid, called alcohol.
This drink hurts our bodies, both mentally and spiritually.
This drink will cause many problems in life.
This drink will even break up families.
This drink will make you "feel good", but it does not ease the pain for long.
Once you've taken a few sips, you can become addicted to it.
Only with Christ you can over come this terrible liquid.
Does this sound like a good thing?
Alcohol is not the only drink that is full of unhealthful ingredients. But it is only one of many things in this world that is harmful to us.
The other kind of Drunkenness...
I could go on and on about this topic, but I will not.
Some peoples brains are drunk. Drunk on the sin of this world.
Satan has some tools that he uses to try to get people to do what he wants.
Some of the tools are, music, food, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and so on.
I'm not saying all food and music are bad, but sadly most of them are...
Music, effects the brain. There are many studies out there about music. But one that I read, is about how music controls the brain, and how bird songs actually helps the plants to grow. "Those who have loved Him (Jesus) and waited for Him, He will crown with glory and honor and immortality. The righteous dead will come forth from their graves, and those who are alive will be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air. What about Rock, Jazz, Rap, etc... what does that do to your brain?
Yet another study that I came across, was about that very thing... Rock (even christian rock), Jazz, Rap and all of those kinds of music, are used in spiritualistic ceremonies (to understand what this is, go to the link at the end of this paragraph). In these evil ceremonies, they use the music to have "power" over their bodies and minds. First, they start out with a hard rapish music. Second, they get the people to yell and scream. Third, the people start dancing and shaking. And last, they stop the music and all is still. After all this has happened sometimes the people even start killing each other. Pray... Pray that Jesus will lead you in the right paths. That you will not be that man or women staggering along the sidewalk a miserable drunk.
