Time with Him?

This past week, was drowned in helping my grandma and mother take care of my grandfather, school, and so much work. For all fourteen years, my grandpa has effected my spiritual well being, greatly. By his influence it has helped me become more humble, patient, and so many other ways to becoming a soldier of Christ.  But now, only now, will prayer in sure his full recovery. Whatever it may be, I trust that it is God's will for him.
...
I think too many times we've neglected that much needed time with Him, since we are so engaged in so many tasks life has for us.
"Just when we think that we have it all in our hands, something always goes wrong..."
Recently, I've been struggling with school, especially algebra. But when I saw that quote, I knew I hadn't been spending enough time with God.
There is a saying I used to believe that says, "Those that like geometry, dislike algebra, and vice-versa." When that day arrived for me to begin Geometry, I loved it. When pre-algebra came, I disdained it so much... so one day, I decided I'd take it to God, and let Him handle it. Now, when I spend at least 1-2 hours every morning with the Lord, my days are shorter and my grades have improved quite a bit.
It may not be school you are struggling with, or it may not be taking care of your Grandpa everyday; but if we would only spend even 30 minutes of our time with the One who loves us most, we would see changes in our lives. Even little changes.
"By study of the Scriptures and earnest prayer seek to obtain clear conceptions of your duty, and then faithfully perform it. It is essential that you cultivate faithfulness in little things, and in so doing you will acquire habits of integrity in greater responsibilities."CH 404.1
A random picture I took of a peacock.
