GYC 2012 and life changing.

I stuffed the last bag into our Toyota Camry, jumped in the back seat, and buckled up.
What a exciting thought it was, to think I was really going to GYC!
Ever since I was ten years old I had wanted to go, but we never had the opportunity.
Now, this was my chance; I was finally on my way.
One day, two days, and then the third day came. We were there.
So many faces; so many faces I know, and so many I don't know.
But I, an extroverted girl, still didn't get it.
I was there, not only for socialization,
but for life changing. For truth, for spiritual refreshing.
The last appeal, the very last chance to come up front came. I knew I needed to go.
A battle raged inside me; part of me said, "Don't go" and the other part said, "Go, go. You need to go."
I decided to go. Standing there among all those people, I recommitted my life to God.
And this time, there's no backing out. I'm staying on His path.
...
Choir was one of my most favorite times at GYC.
I'll never forget the memories made at choir practice,
the encouraging thoughts shared by the director,
and the words of the song.

Outreach was the most favorite of mine.
I've never seen so many people so energized to go on outreach.
Even when we got downstairs, they were still singing, "When we all get to Heaven" (which was also being sung upstairs).
It was my first time actually going door to door, doing the talking.
It was on the game day, which most people were watching their TV's.
On our street, no one answered their door except about five people.
One door we knocked on, an older man answered.
"Hello, my name is...."
"Bang." The door slammed shut.
There wasn't too many people that were interested in going to the prophesy seminars,
but we left the flier at each door (with some coaxing :)).
At those doors that weren't answered, they may change their lives, when they open their door.

I hope for those of you that went to GYC, that you were changed. Changed for Him.
But just because the conference "Acts The Revolution" is over, doesn't mean that we end the revolution here, it needs to continue in every person, in every persons life.
Memorization starts  for: "Before Men and Angels"

(Will post pics as soon as I can sort them.:))

  1. Amen! I, too, was changed. I realized how much of an anti-missionary spirit I have, even though I do so many mission-minded projects. By the grace of God, I can be a missionary whole-heartedly from now on. :)
