Wednesday came and went, but we still weren't there as we had originally planned;
doubts and ugly thoughts crowded my mind as to why we didn't go right then.
It was already 6:30 pm and my dad wasn't even home from work!
"It's all because of what you did..."
"It's all because of..."
The next morning I found out it was actually miracle in disguise.
We passed a truck with it's load of heavy pipes, which had tumbled off a bridge into the ditch.
"The road had apparently iced overnight; we could have been here if we would have left last night. We could have been in that accident."
"Why was I doubting God?"
If I would've surrendered my will to Him,
if I would've let His will be done, I could have learned this lesson sooner.
...
But friends, our natural hearts are drawn by our own lusts, our own wants,
and if we don't surrender our hearts to God, we are unarmed.
Satan can use us as often as he wills, if we are unarmed.
We need to put on the Armor of God so we can fight the good fight.
