“Ready girl? Listen, now.” Ears perked up and a happy face looked up at me.
“Ready, set, GO!”And we were off to a fast jog in the morning.
As I began running, I started my cadence in step with the clicking of dog tags and running feet.
“James (breath) a servant (breath) of God...”
I’d been struggling with reviewing my memorization of James and Revelation, due to a busy school schedule. Now, I had been praying God would help me to know the solution to my predicament.
---
It started when I saw one of our neighbors running on the sidewalk. He was running with a cadence.
Thus, my silent conversation with my idea thinking began.
“Listen.”
“What’s so special about that? It’s a neighbor running to cadences.”
“Just think. Prayer. Memorization. James. Revelation. Running. Cadence.”
My senses realized idea thinking was winning, and confusion reformed to idea confirmation.
Then it came out, aloud.
“Aha, that’s an idea! Perfect idea. Lets do it!”
The next morning, I started, this time in a faster, energized running pace, with my dog by my side.
“The (breath) Revelation (breath) of Jesus...”
Realization became real; my prayer had been answered. Solution: Running with the Word.
Though I thought it was a small matter, God still heard and answered my prayer. God’s solution is always best; in this case it has improved not only my running, but memorization, patience and trust.
